Default I need help!!!

OK, I'm about to throw my wrench at me car, but, before I do so can someone try to help me. I am trying to pin the crank on my car, but, I CAN NOT get enough clearance to do so. I have tried to move the steering rack up, like ATI says to do so, but that shiss is not working. Any suggestions to get it enough clearance? My mechanic tells me he has to drop the steering rack out to pin it, which means the car will have to be towed. Any suggestions please?

Pinnin the crank in the car is a PITA....

Pull the engine out and have a key slot milled into the crank..

And while its out, add a forged bottom end...

If you already have the steering rack loose, it doesn't take that much more to remove it entirely, so get crackin. You're almost there.

I'll tell the easiest way is to undo the upper controll arm bolts and upper shock mount. The lower the cradle down, just remove the front cradle bolts and then loosen the back bolts till they are almost out but have 2 thread left. This will lower your rack out of the way so you can pin the crank. I've done the the whole remove the rack thing and it is a pain in my opinion lowering the rack is far easier.
