Default Ti Catback too small?

At what point is the Ti cat-back not free flowing enough? I currently have the APS kit with random techs welded on the mid pipe going into a Corsa Titanium cat-back.

Well I don't have the CORSA TI's but I do have the C5 Z06 TI exhaust and I'm pushing 639 RWHP and 540 RWTQ through them and all is good!

Hope this helps some, but I would think you should be fine!

What are your numbers or are you shooting for a certain number with the exhaust?

Thanks,Matt

You will get about 10-15 more HP with a larger free flowing exhaust especially with turbos. There are also alot of guys on this forum running the Ti's with alot of HP too.

It's possible to get a few more out of it by switching! But I like the look and the Stealth sound of the TI Z06 exhaust.

If I were to go to another exhaust it would probably be a CORSA INDY - I've heard good things about them and the reason is I just do not like it loud inside the Vette at all and the Z06 TI's are great in that department.

I am doing the Flip Drive soon and I believe this is money well spent for me over an exhaust swap!

Remember there is also a Z06 muffler trick you can do to increase the flow and still remain with the same sound inside the cabin you just need someone to be able to weld Titanium

I can find the pics if you'd like just let me know

Thanks,Matt

I have the APS kit with HF cats on. Should I keep the Corsa Ti catback or switch back to the stock Ti's? I miss that higher pitched sound I have with headers and Ti's. The Corsa is more of a Borla-ish sound. What do you guys think?

I have the borla-stingers on my car and I miss the Ti's too. I'm going to put them back on also. The way I look at it is, I'll still beat the same guys that I beat and lose to the same guys that I lose too, but I'll be happy with a 10 second car and the Ti's. It's not like the car will run 9's anyway.

Looks like ill be putting on my Ti's and seeing how they sound. Even though I dont have the AR headers anymore, the turbo's should be pushing more air so I think Ill be getting a similar sound if not louder, right?

The TI's will support a lot of hp, but you'll have to work harder to get it. If anyone followed APS's R&D for the C5 kits, they noted that on a STOCK ZO6, on the 8lb wastegate springs the car would initially hit 8lbs of boost, then start trailing off to about 7.5 lbs at the top of the powerband, indicating an exhaust restriction which was drilled down to being the stock TI's. Easily worked around, but food for thought.

I have 780whp through my Ti's. It probably is a restriction on my car, but I like the way they sound.

I noticed a little slower spool up time between the bullets and the TI's till I did the bypass mod on the TI's. The TI's dont have the resonace and I like having the lighter weight exhaust. Do the bypass mod and you will really be happy with them.

685/715 through the Ti's here. Like the light and quiet exhaust, def not woth 10-15 hp to deal with the loudness. I cut my mullet off long ago. (never had a mullet for the record).
