Default MAF question

So Im putting on a Tony Mamo ported Fast 90 intake and a ported 90 mm throttle body. Considering my car is an 02 Z06 dont they have a screenless maf measuring at 85mm? If so then doesnt it seem stupid to keep it because it will be my restriction. Is there any advantage of going to a larger maf to the tune of say a 90mm to match what I have? I def dont want none of those 100mm or whatever else 100 plus sizes that are out there.
This is going on my Forged 402, PRC stage 1 heads, STS running hopefully 13 lbs of boost. I would prefer to stay emissions legal since Texas requires yearly checks which is why I dont want to go SD.

SD won't stop you from passing. OBDII vehicles (at least in the Dallas area) aren't sniffed. They just plug in and check for an emissions ready from the PCM. Not a problem.

Best way to go is with the SD 2 BAR tune!

It can work in conjunction with your MAF like my buddies ProCharged '04 Coupe!

Your '02 Z06's MAF table should be able to do fine with your set-up, now as far as my '98's MAF table well let's say there was not enough peramiters on the '98's table. So I am full SD 2 BAR but when I go to get it smogged I will slap the MAF back on and up-load my smog tune with the HP Tuners I have - just a couple of clicks away and hose calmps for me

Thanks,Matt

Speed Density is the way to go.... FAST 3 Bar is the way we go...

As far as emissions is concerned, unless there doing a visual for cats, dont worry about it. HP tuners can shut down all the readyness codes and everything will look fine to them.

The MAF you have now will only hurt you by a few ponies (2-3 at most). Probably not worth worrying about honestly...
