Default Working on my rebuild

I wasn't very happy with the results my car put on with my existing turbos, so, I go bigger!!!

I have been working on somewhat re-engineering my car. The problem with top mount kits is, well, not a ton of space.

The first stages were to see if the turbos would fit. Well, screw that, we're gonna make them fit!!

I was rather embarrassed about how the engine bay was just thrown together because I was wanting my car back.....after 2 yrs of the shop keeping it. Everything ran and ran well, but looked like sh~t. This is also my chance to fix their crap.

So, I started the tear down.

I have gone from trying to lay the radiator down, to other ideas, but ended up moving my intercooler closer to the nose of the car to give me some extra wiggle room. This is definitely going to be a work in progress for the next few weeks.

The turbo that I decided to go with was the BW S368 with the extended tip technology. My goals for the car was to make the most power on the least amount of boost. I think this is a great start!!

Here is the comparison: t3/t40b -> s368 (Sorry guys...for some reason Halltech didn't like the t4 flange. )

I think what was killing me was the backpressure in the manifolds. Although I never really had it measured, that is going to be my story and I am sticking to it.

Now let's see what kind of eyes you guys have. First one to see the wacky part gets a beer.

Other things that I am cleaning up are the boost lines, fuel system, coil packs, and other smaller items.

In the end, the car will be running on e85 and will hope to make some pretty good power. Stay tuned, I'll update as I make progress.

It's going to be a slow process, but hope within 2 or so months it'll be done.

Did that master cylinder heat cover come with the Halltech kit?
I need to source one of those things for myself.

Good luck!

That ought to make a ton more power with the decreased back pressure alone. Can't wait to see the results.
