Default Maggie Question

Gentleman,
How much PSI is does the stock Maggie pulley produce? I will be running 11 to 1 comp, LT and a 228/588/114 camm with a conservative tune.

Will I have to get a 4 PSI pulley due to comp? I was told a rule of thumb figure 20 hp for every pound of boost. My car is currently 433rwhp/401 fptq

If you tune it properly, you should be able to run up to 10psi without issue. If you want a more conservative approach, try running 7psi.

Stock pulley is about 7 psi.

I'm running a stock pulley with 10.9 - 1 compression. With Stage II heads and long tubes. Cam is 224 575 114. Boost shows 5.6 psi. This is due to a better flowing heads etc.

I'm at 502 rwhp and 469 torque on a conservative tune. (was 407 rwhp NA)

Maggies work very well with higher compression. Nice that you have good power when not boosting and when you do hit it the power is instant.

If 14.7psia is ambient pressure, then you will get 1/14.7 % for each psi gain.

So for rwhp, 1/14.7 * (345rwhp) = 23 rwhp minus additional heating losses

This is assuming you had 345 rwhp NA.

Vegas Vette,
Can you post or send me some pictures of your hood. Thanks for all the information, I was told by my tuner the setup would work but it's always good to hear from the source.
