Default Kenne Bell?

I'm getting ready to install a Kenne Bell supercharger on my 2003 Z06. I already installed a Racetronix fuel pump harness and I am now getting ready to install the boost a pump that came with my kit. I believe the racetronix harness is designed to have the BAP installed behind the drivers side rear tire, but the BAP that comes in the supercharger kit is designed to be installed under the hood. So can anyone help me by explaing the best way to hook up my BAP.

Thanks,
Chris

well I ran the boost a pump where KB tells you to and run the racetronics kit like normal.

It is my understanding that the racetronix harness only uses the original fuel pump wire to activate a relay. when the relay is activated it uses the 8 gauge wire ran from the alternator to power up the pump. So I figured if I put the BAP where KB tells me to I will only be boosting the voltage to the relay not to the pump.

However I maybe way over thinking this

It is a Kenne Bell BAP.

So can someone explain to me how the voltage gets increased to the pump if I do it the way KB says to. I'm not questioning you guys, I just want to understand how it works. Because it doesn't seem like it would work to me.

That should work fine. The extra voltage should still reach the pump im assuming. Got a diagram?

I don't think it will because all the original power supply does is turn on the relay it doesn't go through the relay.

I think I'm starting to confuse myself

Why does it have to be a KB BAP? I have a MSD with my Racetronix and KB.

Because his BAP came with his kit. The BAP is now included in all KB systems free of charge

Jeff, your the KB expert on here. So am I correct in my thinking or do I just install the boost a pump where the instructions tell me to(under the hood)? Or do I need to wire the BAP into the Racetronix harness.
Your expertise will be greatly appreciated!

When I did a Racetronix harness, it had plugs for BAP to fit in the wheel well. It snapped in and mounted to frame, and run the wires thru the side and into the engine. In the engine compartment there's a pressure switch, gain controller, and the alternator connection.

Enjoy the KB, I hope you take pics and post the results!

You can really do it either way.

By running it in the rear, in order to connect it to the Racetronix harness, you still need to run the switch wire all the way to the front in order to get to your vacuum source. By running it in the front, it allows you to not have to run anything to the back.

Either way will work just fine. Its really up to you.

The back of the car, allows for a cleaner install, yet the front of the car allows for more convenience in installation.
