spark plug wires
I am installing some new MSD wires and noticed on my old boots there was a metal cover with a spring at the end. Is this for OEM style wires only or should they be taken off and reused?
What is the purpose of them?

i put on a set of gmpp wires *couldn't be happier with them* and reused the metal heat shield w/springs. no problems..
they will also work on the msd wires but they'll be a lil loose. either way u'll be fine. imho
