Default meth question

I am repairing a cooling mist meth kit on my forged maggie with 10 lbs of boost. I had some questions:

1 - I wanted to run a dual nozzle setup. Are duals better? Is there a specific size nozzle I should get?

2 - The car does not have a progressive meth kit, are there any problems with using a boost switch that turns it on under boost?

3 - This car was tuned without meth, and meth would be used as a safty net and an octane boost, is there a reason to re-tune it? Even through it was tuned without meth, wouldn't even a concervative tune take advantage of the cooling and octane given by the meth kit?

4 - I have heard people talk about using water instead of meth. The reason behind this was the water will cool the air a lot, and the meth boost octane?

The guys with more experience will give you a more complete answer, but from talking to several vendors:

1. Duals are better since you can use smaller nozzles for better (smaller droplets) atomization

2. You definitely want to use a boost switch to turn it on at a predetermined boost level. If you turn it on too early, you an get a bog, but since the maggie goes to full boost so quickly, you may not need progressive.

3. Unless you HAVE to have every single hp (race) you would be better off leaving it tuned as it is, and let the meth be a safety factor that will give you a few more hp through it's cooling benefits (especially on hot days.) If you tune for Meth and somthing happened and it didn't activate, you could lose your engine

4.I think a meth/water mix would be far superior to just water. The meth would provide better cooling and some additional octane to guard against pre ignition.

Straight meth will cool much better than water. If you have a doubt, stick your finger in meth then let the air hit it. Then do the same for water. The only reason I see to mix would be to save money - which IMO is crazy when dealing with these expensive toys.

100% meth will cool the intake air charge more. 50/50 will cool combustion temps more keeping detonation away. IMO go with 50/50 and just spray more (assuming you can adjust the amount.)
