Default Tranmission Tune

Since I have installed my TTi X kit I want to get a transmission tune when I take it in for a 3.42 rear diff install at IPS Motorsports. What should be done during the tune? I read about reducing the shift time and raising the line pressure. Should I do both or just reduce shift time? Thanks,The Big Dog

Like said above, speak to someone who tunes.

Normally when they make changes to the tranny, they first data log it to see when it shifts line pressure temp etc.

Once they know the power level of the car, where it makes power/torque etc, they do the trans. Basically they will set your shift points, adjust line pressure as needed.

Be very careful while playing with line pressures, there are other ways a "GOOD" tuner can tune and dial in your tranny.

Most of the time it is on the street and then the Dyno can be used for WOT (Unless they have a safe area for WOT)

Make sure they take their time and they really understand what they are doing!

Thanks,Matt
