Supercharging ? ?
1. Superchargers have a parasitic drag on the engine
2. There is always at some point belt issues...slipping and/or worn
3. The crank pully needs to be pinned or it will fly off.
Help me understand
Thanks,

No belt issues here, I am making tons of usable power and some unusable! I AINT Got Nothin' Against TT's you know and I actually like the HINSEN Single Turbo (Although not the single exhaust - IMHO! Don't know why but I don't
)I like the Supercharger and always have, plus I have no oil lines to deal with (Self contained) It makes less heat!
Heck it looks good too (Although the PTK's are pretty sweet looking IMHO
)Maybe one day I'll go the other way but for now it is a simple and straight forward process and set-up - a direct bolt on up front on the motor
Can't bash a personal preference

Thanks,Matt

2. What? No belts on a turbo, W/P or alt?
3. If you don't pin the pulley on your turbo it will come loose too, heck they come off on N/A cars!

Really it's a matter of preference and $$$$ There's no free lunch!
Then there's the heat issue and oil lines and hot pipes running all over the place with turbos!

The blowers are just so much simpler and cleaner install.

it a draw.

1.) So do Turbo's via back pressure.
2.) Turbo's have wearable parts too, like insulation blankets, oil lines, pumps, etc ...
3.) If you're going to do any performance upgrades on the vette, most shops recommend pinning the crank anyway as it's a known trouble spot so it's no big deal.
Turbos are great for all out top speed runs, that's where they shine.
Centrifigal SC are great for street driven cars because their boost is linear and very controlled, compared to that of a turbo.
So depending on your application, the Turbo or Centri are proven reliable power adders.
I'm going with a centri myself as my car is for street driving and I want predictability.
