I can swing the needle to 200 in 6th. Some say the tranny won't last using 6th gear, not sure it has ever been proven or not. I guess if its something your going to do often its best to gear for 5th.

You won't be able to do much in 5th with your trans. I've heard that even if you can pull 6th, you'll destroy the trans trying to run it out. The M6 from a coupe or C6Z will give you a .1 ratio from .84 to .74 in 5th which should put you over 200 in 5th with a 3.42 gear.

I have held mine in 6th for more than a couple miles and it still shifts and feels fine so it can be done, now the question is how many times? thats like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a toostie pop hahaha goddam I am funny. well gotta go golfing now

I did 212 mph on gps 5000rpm 6th gear not problem at all..611rwhp with low 10 pounds of boost.. stock tranny 3.42 gear 245/35/19 fronts and 345/25/20 rear on my Z with downforce bodykit, stock hood, very stable and still pulling.. next time I will get the camera to post with 20 pounds and highflow hood.. over 1000 rwhp...
