Swapped my P1 for a D1. A&A older bracket. Had a 3.90" pulley on my P1 with a 060888 belt (minimal slip). Put a 4.00" pulley on the D1 with a 060895 belt. Took it to the dyno and on the first pass, it slipped like crazy!
Not that it means anything, but here is my sheet. The higher line is my old P1 with the 3.90" seeing 9#. The lower line you can obviously see the belt slip. Also, it was the first pass so we took out tons of timing and you can see it was off the chart rich. Even with that, still pretty impressive.
Trying to decide whether to try to fit the 060888 on this 4.00" pulley or go back to the 3.90" and the 060888 belt. Before it slipped, we saw 11# boost on the 4". My 4" is a standard ATI pulley. The 3.90" is a Reichard Racing which probably grabs better. I know an 8 rib, or even better, the flip drive would be best, but not sure I want to go that direction right now. Thoughts?
I've heard good things about that flip drive system. I'm running a older A&A bracket and looking to upgrade to ECS bracket here in the very near future.
Interesting. My A&A 2nd gen has 2 idlers and a non-adjusting tensioner. So, a 3rd idler will fit? Any idea on belt length? I'll look for those brand of belts too. Thanks
Well in my opinion I would do the FLIP-DRIVE system! This would be the most effective and awesome way to stop the slip IMHO!
Or better yet if you have the money you could do the FLIP-DRIVE with the 8 RIB balancer and 8 RIB ProCharger Pulley that would ensure "NO" belt slip at all! (You would only have to do thoe two pulleys and what ever other one you have on your bracket with the 8 rib)
You know I have the 6 rib FLIP-DRIVE system and it works soooooo smooth I can't even believe it.

Hey I have the 2nd generation A&A Bracket too! So FLIP-DRIVE it, mine is a "PROVEN" set-up and I am making over 700 RWHP on a safe tune
Matt, I would certainly do the flip drive before doing an 8 rib. I am just looking for a short term solution. Once I hit the number I want on the track, I'm going to move back to a 4.3" pulley and power it down. I'm still on stock longblock and cannot run 9s legally anyway. Hoping to hit it once, then slow it down.

If I cannot get this figured out, this is a relatively inexpensive move I am considering. Are you still running a 6 rib? What size pulley and what blower?

Camaro? You mean Sheryl's orange one? Lol, not my wife and she would never give that thing up. She races points up at MIR every weekend. Now running low 9s NA. Can't wait till she presses the juice button!

Yes 6 rib with a P1SC-1 and 4.25" pulley. You can really sinch the belt tight! I will be away for about a week but I'll post a bunch of pics and info regarding the swap!
Yeah, I knew she wasn't Mrs. Dave but I knew you had access to it. I love that thing! I need to find me a woman that is into cars, golf, and guns, haha. My car is very close to being complete...finally!

Don't forget poker. She was trying to win her way into the World Poker Tour too before kids and racing got in the way.
Wow, you hit the jackpot! Are you sure she was born a female? haha
Hopefully you will get your car worked out. Heck, you may even see me at the track sometime this season. I am hoping to get in the low 10's (if I can row the gears that well).
