Default fuel pump / boost a pump question

I have a 99 maggie with a racetronics fuel pump and a MSD boost a pump. Recently I gave me a no start issue, then started and ran fine for approx 1000 miles. Once again I have a no start concern (no fuel pressure). My quesitions are:

will a bad boost a pump stop it from starting (or does it just affect how the pump operates under boost)?

It has a racetronics pump, can those be replaced as pump only, or do they come as an assembly?

Is it as easy as checking to make sure that there is voltage to the pump? And if it has power and does not work then it is bad?

Who sells racetronics replacement pumps? Or are there better ones?

Thanks

Toby

Yes voltage runs through the boost a pump.

Yes you can just replace the pump, although it does not sound like the pump.
Is it as easy as checking to make sure that there is voltage to the pump?

And if it has power and does not work then it is bad? Yes check the voltage output on the MSD box, you can also jump in 12 volts to the pump to see if it comes up to pressure. I had a MSD box go bad on my and switched to Kenne Bell. I now have no boost a pump and am running twin in tanks via a RSI set up.

The BAP should not affect it until it reaches 3psi (I believe) at which point it sends more voltage to the pump.
You can buy a LPE pump only to replace the pump IF it is bad. It will be much cheaper than the entire racetronic set up.
I just bought one from A & A.

I would try to check everything before actually pulling the pump (and declaring it dead)
I've got an issue with one now, and if I wind up swapping it out, I'll send it off to get checked

Based on experience, I would suspect you have a wiring problem....
