Well over the past 6 months or so I have been selling some parts, buying some parts, and mainly waiting on the APS kit I bought second hand (but in awesome shape, VERY low milage, etc..). Some of you know I had and top notch AFR heads/big cam/FAST 90/and a very nice nitrous setup previously, but decided that I wanted to go the FI route.
I swapped out the AFR heads with stock 317s, changed the cam to a Dallas Performance spec'd TT cam, and changed the intake to an LS2 unit. I also added a Meth kit from Dallas Performance and converted to a return style fuel system with a FPR at the rails. Other additions were a new Tick performance adj. master cylinder and a electronic boost controller. Overall its been a long process but I have been patient, knowing that it would all payoff in the end with a big smile on my face.
I have a few misc. parts to get from the dealer tomorrow to finish it up within the next couple days then It will go to Taylor at Dallas Performance for the tuning.
I have a few pics here but Ive been working like crazy to get it done so I kinda neglected a good detailed photo album. Yes, the car is FILTHY, as it should be for sitting 6 months. It will get the best bath/cleanup of its life when i get done.
I know it has been a long hard project for you Chris. I can't wait to see the results. Good luck finishing up! With the low compression heads, still good overall compression, built motor and the cam, it is going to be a blast
NICE!!!!! Now we need to get us all together and shred some pavement....LOL
I know how the waiting is. I just started mounting my meth kit tonight. Have to get a new line as I have a diferent location. Cant wait to see your numbers. Are you going to tune it Chris?

Jerry
Im for sure gonna be shreading some pavement bro LOL
No, the tuning is a little over my head and I just dont have the time to learn it while In school learning about all this other crap I will learn it one day though. Im awaiting your results too man
Ran into a big problem today.....I went to fill my coolant up to get ready got a tune and coolant is filling up the turbo, draining out the discharge pipe and the end of the midpipe
find wet one. IF no wet one do coolant pressure test first
I would almost guess head gasket but still makes no sense.
Have you had the heads off since starting the build?
Are you SURE the turbo did not have a cracked center leaking the water out the exhaust?? Either way you should hear and see where its coming from with coolant test
Water cooled turbos?? If no then rule out cracked cartridge.
Water in oil?
Wish I was closer Id give ya a hand at it.

Oh Im not going to crank it. I did a head swap but this is my third time to do a head swap so I dont immediately lean towards a mistake, though possible.
Yes, coolant enters the turbos from the passenger side head, then from that turbo it crosses to the drivers side turbo then back to the big coolant plug in the drivers side of the block.
I really dont know what else to think other than a seal or something
???
Broke my dipstick tube so I cant check the oil, but I need to drain it anyway.
Ouch. What's the history on this kit?? Are you absolutely sure that you don't have the oil and coolant fittings on the turbo's swapped??? Is it both sides or just one side? How much coolant did you get into the car before it started to flow out?? Reason I ask is because it would have to be pretty full to push all the way up to the head to flow out.

It is a second hand kit but had low milage and everything looks great.
Im pretty damn sure I dont have any of the fittings swapped.
It is only the pass. side turbo. I filled it until it was full before I noticed it leaking out.
Well.......try pulling and capping the feed line for the turbo's and refill.....see if the pouring continues. Can narrow it down really easily that way.

I'm not even sure those lines can be swapped.
Thats what Im thinking...a lot of the kit came pre-assembled so it made it a little easier.
I had a bunch of **** to do tomorrow so hopefully ill know more Saturday
