i had tr6 plugs put in my car at ecs. i was having a spark problem and virginia speed in va beach said the tr6's were the problem and put in tr55's. i thought i had my information mixed but it turns out that the tr6 is the colder plug as opposed to the stock heat tr55. anyway, the car runs fine now but it seems the general consensus is that the tr6 is the right plug for a higher boost blower car. Anyway, they re-tuned the car after they put in the new spark plugs (long story).. but my question is will i need a re-tune if i take out the tr55's and put in tr6's?
I had my car at FLP (Finish Line Performance) in Naperville, IL and they said the NGK Tr6's have a tendency to spread after a while. They recommend Champion plugs, but I don't remember which ones? I have not pulled my plugs to check the gap, but will do so this week, and let you know.
