When you lose the belt your water pump is not spinning any more. So you are not moving coolant through the block. 8 cyl, 4 cyl, 1 cyl, without any coolant flow it’s going to over heat.

The big issue is why did you loose the belt?

You may want to look into a product that we offer that helps eliminate belt slip and also reduces the chances of loosing a belt greatly. Check out the below link.

Sorry for your misfortune…being left on the side of the road at 2:30AM can be aggravating.

Serpentine belt systems that are used to spin a super charger tend to put a lot of stress on the accessories.

Another benefit of our kit is that it eliminates the excessive stress on all accessories while increasing the life span of the accessories in a super charged environment.

You might want to seriously think about the FLIP-DRIVE set-up!

I have it in conjunction with my Electric Water Pump(EWP) so if that belt throws at least I still have the water pump going - but if you should ever throw a Blower belt with the Flip-Drive you wont have any problems

Thanks,Matt
