Default KB blower and fuel system question???

Looking for some direction here. I am setting up my 01 coupe with a regulator and return line. My question is this. I have a KB blower with the fuel lines that have the manifold block mounted to the Idler pulley plate that has the OEM buffer that you take off of the factory fuel rail when installing the system.
Should I just run a single line from the regulator to this block or run duel lines, one to each fuel rail and eliminate the block?
Not sure what this "buffer " does, why or if I need to leave it in the system?
thanks

Its a pulse dampner.

Run the lines just like they are now. On the bottom of the fuel block, there is a threaded plug. That plug is the return port. Remove that plug, install a 90* fitting, run a line from that fitting into the inlet port of the regulator. From there, return to the tank from the return port on the bottom side of the regulator.

OR...

Eliminate that fuel block all together. Then, run the fuel line directly to the DS rail, then T off,m and run it to the PS front of the rail. On the back side of the PS rail, run a return line to the inlet port on the regulator. Then return back to the tank from the bottom of the regulator (return port)

Thanks Jeff. Option A seems best to me. Less fittings to buy anyway!

Yeah, plus its less cluttered. It will definately save you a few bucks.

The port on the bottom side is 1/4"npt. But you can drill/tap it larger if you want. Dont worry about going into the pulse dampner cavity. Its kinda useless anyways. But if you dont want to drill it out, you need to get a 90* 1/4" npt fitting, with a -6an male. Then get an aeromotive 13109 regulator that uses -6 inlets and outlets. You will just need to buy a few -6 fittings, and line. If you dont already have it, we can supply it if you need. We have a 13109 regulator and fittings on the shelf.

Couple more questions? The port on the bottom of the block? It's 3/8npt?
So I just plug all the out ports on the regulator and just run the return line into the inlet side and the the return line from the bottom of regulator back to the tank?

I eliminated everything and went custom from the tank to the regulator. Basically my new system Y's at the torque tube into two separate lines that feed the back of each rail. Then two more lines come out the front to the regulator and then back to the tank.

RSI Hat with dual pumps, dual -6 feeds turn into a -8 via a y-block in the torque tube, -8 Feeds the rail on the front of the passenger side, rails loop via -8 in the rear and exit the front of the drivers side rail via a rail mounted Magnafuel regulator and then a -6 return to the drivers side tank. This is also a kenne bell blower car.

I'm sure I will upgrade some day when funds allow and more boost is added. Right now I'm just running 12# on a forged lower and was starting to run just a little leaner than I wanted past 5500 rpm and couldn't get it down. I'm having to piece meal my fuel system till I can afford to upgrade. I know I know this is not the place to skimp! But I have a good regulator now with the single racetronix pump and the harness upgrade and I moved my BAP to the back with it. I'm changing out the fuel filter to the early style and running a -6 back to the tank. I'm hoping that will do me till I can afford more power. I have a wide band and log with HPtuners so I shouldn't get into trouble..
I've traded a couple of E-mails with BlownZ06 and he has been extremely helpful getting the scan set up and as soon as I get back to it helping me tweak my tune for the better and more consistant fuel pressure.

Can I run the the return line straight back to the fuel pump or do I have to tap into the return line going to the fuel filter?
