That's quite the detailed analysis of the pros and cons of the different blowers.

If you can travel I think the specials lately have been starting at around 6500 installed and tuned. Great price on a centri-type blower. It would probably bump your 350 horses to at least 500 (at the crank of course), more with supporting mods.

Good luck!

Why? Support this answer, I'm curious as to what you might say.
Paxton is an incredible unit. There are hundreds of very satisfied paxton customers on this forum alone. Alot of the fastest FI vettes out there are running paxtons . Vortech and Procharger make an awesome unit as well, along with a few others. Most of which are trouble free.
I went from 303 at the wheels to 495 with the blower and headers, and a very conservative tune FOUR years ago. ~600 passes later, four years later and many street miles, the stock bottom end is still together, and is very reliable.

Contact ECS, A&A, Vette Doctors or Cartek and talk to the tuners and get to know them before you make a decision. That is just on the upper East coast, there are alot of very reputable shops all over the country that know how to make serious reliable HP. The tuner is the most important decision you will make. They wouldnt have a business if they pointed customers in the wrong direction!
I, like many others, are fortunate to have one the best shops close by....

stock bottom end no problems, had it blown 2 yrs ago, granted it doesn't see track use but its not babied either, call ECS if you get a chance, i changed my injectors, springs and a few other things all listed in my sig, nothing internal to the engine and I'm at 567 rwhp and 540 rwtq which is not uncommon for the ECS setup, i may cam it this summer even though they will cap the rwhp@600 and tq somewhere in that neighborhood, i dont know other peoples situation but this is my toy the setup is relatively safe but if i blow the engine I'll go forged, i dont have to rely on it as a daily driver, i see people pushing stock ls1's much further than mine with good luck but I'm not that brave. that being said i have the utmost confidence in my tuner (ECS) any modded engine could develop problems but a good tune reduces that risk significantly, a tuner would rather not blow your engine as this would be bad for business but I'm sure if you absolutely insist some will push it past the the safe limits, like suggested above, shop around, get others advice about a tuner and good luck in your decision

I have the Paxton now and love it. Couldn't ask for anything better. Been on the car for two or so years and only issue was having the crank pulley and tensioner replaced (the crank pulley being relatively common in these cars anyways). In the grand scheme of things that's not exactly a major issue.

I'm currently at 530 rwhp and 490 lb/ft tq, very very conservatively. Supporting mods are a must for good hp and a tune is crucial to the preservation of your engine. Supporting mods for me are, headers, injectors, cat-back, and clutch.

If you are that close to A&A, go there for the conversion and get your accessories such as gauges from me.
