I just installed a Nitrous Express Gemini MAF sensor plate kit on my car. It is a wet kit and I installed an MSD digital window switch. I have never had nitrous before so I do not know what to expect. My car has a vararam, headers, cutouts, and a tune, but not tuned for nitrous.
I first installed 50hp jets, but I did not feel any difference. I then installed the 150hp jets. I feel a difference, but it is not the hard hit I was expecting.
Is something wrong, or are my expectations off?
Second, when I purge, I do not get a cloud of any kind, just the noise of air. Everything I have read says it should produce a white cloud.
Third, what should I set the Window switch at? I have it on at 2800 and off at 5500.
Lastly, Will the 2-3 shift cause too much wheelspin on 150 jets?

Well my first question is going to be about the tune. Do you know if they advanced your timing in the tune? If so, you're going to have to either have it re-tuned to pull some timing, or you'll need to use a timing device to pull timing when spraying, like the Interface controller. Brings me to my next question...what spark plugs are you running? Did you drop them down to a colder set?
As for feeling the hit, what is the bottle pressure that you're spraying at? How full is the bottle (weight)? You won't necessarily see a cloud when you hit the purge. You generally get a white-r cloud when its more humid out and if you're running a larger diameter purge tube. But since you aren't really feeling the hit and the purge is kinda vague, I would look into a bad bottle fill.
Bump the window switch on at 3k and off a few RPM's before your shift point. This will help keep the load off the trans when shifting.
Anything else just ask.

ok i'm new 2, and I never heard of putting the shutoff below redline. is that what you do?? I though it was a missed shift precaution, not something you use all the time.
Thanks Nick. I am not sure on the timing. I will call the shop on Monday and find out about the timing and the shift points. What is an "interface ontroller"?
I have stock AC Delco plugs, I did not change them.
I took the bottle to a different place to be filled. They added quite a bit of Nitous to the bottle. Found out I cannot have the bottle filled when it has been sitting in a hot trunk all day, that may have been my problem. I have not had a chance to hit it since the bottle refill.

I think doing this makes sure you don't hit the rev-limiter while spraying. I don't think good things happen when that occurs.

Interface Controller is a fueling and timing device that we offer. For your application, you'd only use the timing portion of the device. It will pull timing when you activate the system and leave your N/A timing alone.
Get those plugs out of there! Too hot of a plug and its platinum. You need to drop the heat range on the plugs or risk major damage to the motor. DO NOT spray again until you swap the plugs. We stock all heat ranges of plugs so shoot me a PM with your current mods and what size shot you'll end up spraying and I'll get you the link to the correct plugs.
Where ever you take the bottle, you'll get the best results if they use a pump. Regardless if they use a pump or not, make sure they're using a filter on the outlet of the mother bottle. You don't want any of the junk in the mother bottle to get into your bottle...
this may sound stupid, but is the bottle turned the right way so that the tube inside is pulling liquid and not vapor? I have always seen the "cloud" when purging.
