Draw-through MAF
I posted this question in the Z06 forum but I know it has a better home here. Has anyone had a draw-through MAF setup on their supercharged car? Are there any disadvantages to having the maf on the intake before the supercharger?
P.s my bov vents to atmosphere if that make a difference.
Thanks

That's the way the Magnuson blowers are set up. On the intake side. For the centrifugals, one problem is that the inlets need to make an immediate down turn. Second is that it's not a straight shot. Next is the IAT's are located in the 5-wire versions and you really need to get your IAT's after the charge instead of before. You could relocate the IAT out of the MAF though.

Ive heard mixed opinions. Some people have told me that with a good tune it will be fine, but some have told my that if I have a draw through setup, I have to have a bypass valve to vent it back into the intake, and not a BOV that vents into the atmosphere because the you can vent air that the maf has already read

It won't work unless you recirculate the air from the blowoff valve to a point after the MAF, but before the blower. On a draw-through, this air has already been metered by the MAF, so if you just dump it like most of us do, the car will add too much fuel whenever the BOV is open.
The setup works on the Maggie an KB blowers because they recirculate the air instead of dumping it.

Ok so that settles it then. Im going to stick to the way its suppose to be. But I need some couplers that fit, and Im trying to get the car done before I go home on leave, so I want to avoid ordering some off the internet if possible. Does anyone know how I can make a transition coupler (reducer) that will fit on the maf and my intercooler piping?
