The other day while sitting at a stop light, datalogging, I see this nice oil cloud forming behind me. Well there was a minivan also so I blamed it on that. Down the road and made the uturn, stop to save data, cloud appeared again. Well thers no point in logging anything else. Back to the house and start pulling it apart. I did a leak down on #1 and #3. Both had 30% or better leakage. So apart it came. Heres a few pics from the tear down.
Heres the passanger side. So far ALL the jugs look good. I did notice that # 4,5,6 have all been ever so lightly tapped by valves. So rubilding or buying new heads on the cheap is a must.
This is like when friends tell me they're getting a divorce. I don't know whether to tell them "sorry" or congratulate them. I guess a congratulations is in order.

the good ole RTV gaskets lol. My old grand prix had pretty much ALL RTV gaskets. Blower, TB, pcv.. lot more lol. RTV makes a good oring substitute too lol. Use it to keep the stock exhaust gasket on the head?
I'm assuming when the heads/cam were done someone checked clearance? So, assuming that all checked out... this means you have valves staying open longer than expected causing them to kiss a piston? What springs are you running/ how old are they?
Also, what part of houston are you from? I just moved from the woodlands/ spring area. Also, you leave your mods on the floor? What's your address/ garage door code?
Kurt, you know I didnt even think about the MS4. Thats a very good possibility. patriot extreme springs. a year old so they will be getting replaced as well.
So you never set parts on the floor when you took stuff apart?? LOL
