I have Julio's alky system - installed back in 2005. Have had no problems until recently when I stopped NOT running out of methanol. Is there an easy way to make sure the pump is pumping? I have cranked the dial **** all the up, and at idle pushed the button. Light goes to green from red, but I see no change in a/f and or idle speed. I really don't want to take the system apart, unless I have to. How can I prove the pump is working. Maybe check valve or something else.
TIA, Robi
If the light goes from red to green the pump is making 50 PSI at least with low voltage being applied=good
You can T a pressure guage inline with the nozzle and pump 15 PSI into the MAP sensor,, you should see at least 150 PSI. And.. you can always send the pump in and we can test it N/C.. or at 4 years of age.. buy a new pump and be done with it. I am not a vendor here so I wont be quoting prices.
Can't you just take of the pressure line and crank up the setting "on" setting with ignition key on and hopefully it will pump some meth in can? That's how I check mine. My pump was froze up after 6 months of sitting ...the LED would come on leading me to believe the pump was running ..it wasn't.

No pump should freeze.. even after 6 months. If it froze, then something is up with its motor. Like a bearing is seized??
I had an issue with mine after 2 years of running it. My light would stay red and not go green and I could hear a whinning noise at the pump. At first thought is was vapor lock and tried cracking a line and hitting it. After a call to Julio the problem was fixed with his help in minutes. He said its rare but a few pumps have got water in them, because of there location ont he vettes. I was instructed to pull one of the two long bolts that run throught the pump and see if it had any rust on it. Sure enough I pulled one and it did. I orderd a new pump and problem was solved. In the new car I am building I am putting a drip guard above the pump so water will run away from it. I washed my car allot and apparently it did my pump in.

I was one of those rare cases a couple years back. The install location is right beneath the udders from the windshield cowl. Julio got be back on the road. His customer service is A1.

What did you do to prevent the same issue from happening again? If you have any pictures would be great as well. Looking for ides for my install.
I would take Julio's advice!! He knows his system and will make sure to take car of you. I brought my car to him and he noticed the date on my pump. I upgraded mine.
Julio I passed by you one weekend in my Blue Supra. It was around 8am on 275. You were towing a Ford... WTH!! LOL!
