Walbro 255 / Racetronix?
Is a Walbro 255 an upgrade to the existing fuel pump or is it a "direct" replacement for the stock?
The Racetronix C5 pump is a Walbro 255 - correct?

255LPH is the nominal rating Walbro has given most of their GSS34x and GSS42x series HP pumps at 43.5PSI. The C5 operates at 58PSI not 43.5PSI.

We recommend you contact a Racetronix dealer listed on our web page to discuss your requirements in detail before you make your purchase.

That all depends on your HP goals and motor build. We have a FPA and a harness for your model year. The FPA is a big job so many people just opt for the harness and a BAP before having to drop the tank.

I have your harness and a KB BAP on my forged 347 at 12-14 psi (700+ rwhp) and pressure is dropping to 51 WOT with stock fuel pump so I need to do something to upgrade the system and would much rather stay away from dropping the tank to r/r fuel pump so looking at secondary external fuel systems.
The secondary fuel systems we have seen are of poor design. They ask you to drill a hole in your tank and install a fitting from the outside. We have seen a number of cars where the debris from the drilling process has caused the factory fuel pump module to fail. There is no substitute for dropping the tank and doing the job properly.

If you are using the factory regulator setup your pressure drop is normal.

How much horse power can this support in a 2001 Centri 416 motor ?

I log all the time and watch the fuel pressure logs. Even though I drop my AFR's stay reasonably ok and im not real worried to much about it until the colder weather gets here and im making more boost.

Maybe I'm misreading this but I don't think I got an answer to my question.....is a Racetronix 255 pump the same as a Walbro 255, or, has the Racetronix been modified (voltage?)?

The C5 pump is not rated at 255LPH b/c it is designed to work at the C5's system pressure of 58PSI. The C5's GRJ420 pump's design is unique to the C5 alone so a generic Walbro HP pump will not work in the factory fuel module.
We get our C5 pumps from LPE. We assemble the modules here and install new fuel tubes and upgraded Teflon wiring harnesses.

Racetronix, i installed your harness on my 04 and am reading approx. 14.7 volts at the alternator, what approx. Voltage does the boost a pumps increase to ? I also saw an increase in fuel pressure from 59 lbs to 62 lbs. Thanks

There are many Walbro HP pumps rated at a nominal 255 LPH @ 43.5PSI @ 13.5V. '255' is not a Walbro part number. GSS34x and GRJ4xx are.
