Well after getting the code 0300 engine misfire and car running like crap..i decided to check it out ...after going thru heck trying to find out if its the plugs, wires, maf and on and on and on to nothing... the #4 cylinder (on the header ) was not as hot as the others decided to remove the valve cover and see if it was a broken valve spring.
instead of a spring i found a good chunk of the intake rocker split by the push rod...nice clean brake no metal chips at all...any suggestions why ? and should i change only that pair? the rest look as good as when i replace them last year....by the way they are the yalla terra 1:7 rockers...
I havent seen a YT rocker failure in forever and a day.. Are they the new ultralight rocker? Or are they the early design?
I wouldnt worry about changing them all. Just that cylinder. But I would definately have YT look into it for you. Also, check out your valvetrain. Make sure you didnt have a lifter failure, that caused your rocker to fail. Make sure your PR isnt bent.

They are the new type Ultralights ...the geometry is good ..push rod straight as an arrow... any type of sigh i should be looking for to determent if in fact the lifter collapsed and or may have caused the problem?
are you using stocker lifters? What RPM are you turning this engine?
I had a set of Scorpians fail using stock lifters and finally detemined after talking to LOTS of people that it was because newish stockers are only good for about 6800 rpm.

Are these on a FI setup...you spraying?
Why not go back to stock? I have been running the same stock 01 rockers and making 600+ hp and have ran it up to 850 rwhp...rev limiter set to 6750. Now that I said that watch me break one.
