Default Clutch/Master not disagaging?

I installed a Tick Master and an ACT twin disk at the same time along with a new stock GM slave in my 2001 Z06. I am notcing that if I put the car in first or any gear for that matter and rev the engine is somtimes creeps forward making a god awful sound. Also letting the clutch out in fisrt makes this same sound if any gas is applied. I have tried adjusting the pedal out and in and can't seem to solve this. I only have about 2000 km on all the new parts. The clutch never slips but even on some down shifting I notice this noise so I am pretty sure the clutch is not fully releasing. Do you have a good adjustemnt procedure I can follow? Does this sound like anything you have heard in the past that you could help me with? Let me know. Also...seems worse once the car has been warmed up and driven a bit.

thanks very much

Drew

I had a twin disk on an f-body(same setup) with the same issue. I installed in 3x and sent it back to mcleod once to have it looked over. I never got a resolution and ended up returning it for good.

Step 1 is to have the hydraulics bled EXTREMELY well. Some people use vacuum pumps to do it in the car. Just using the remote bleeder doesn't do much except get the slave bled. I bench bleed the master with MUCH better results. I have a writeup on that someone else put together if you are interested.

The clutch master twin is actually made by Quater Master. You might want to call them and see what they think. I have used them in the past, while very aggressive I never had any issue with dis-engagement. Perhaps the slave is not adjusted properly. You want to have a high pedal release.

Hey boys...thanks ..I do have a remote bleeder and a Vacuum bleed system. I will try that next. Just wondering if it could be some sort of adjustment issue with the master or not as well.

When I installed everything I did a full bleed and vacuumed the system until no bubbles were found. Fluid colour right now is a little off but not black yet. I will try a full bleed though.

thanks for the input !

You could be getting full travel of the throwout bearing and still have the disk(s) pressed against the floater plate. This was the issue I ran into with a Mcleod unit.

did you stick with the GM flywheel bolts? or change over to ARP? not recommended for twin or triple dick the heads stick out too much rubbing the clutch

I am wondering about this as well. I sent a PM to Joey from Tick to see if he has any ideas.

I am using new GM bolts. I had heard of the same issues prior with the ARp's.

This same thing happened to me.. I got tired of dealing with it and went back to a single. The guy who bought my clutch uses it in a f-body flawlessly. Go figure.
