Default Supercharger install, balancer?

About to install an A&A kit. I currently have a powerbond 25% underdrive on the car, but I intended to replace it with my stock balancer. Now I am thinking, maybe I should go for the stock size Powerbond?

http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...oducts_id=4546

Im not a huge fan of the stock balancer, but the Powerbond is a very nice part and is priced well. The machining is excellent and with the UD one on the car now it seems smoother than stock. I have searched a few posts where people are using ATI's and ARP's but have not seen any Powerbond users.

If you're going to spend the money, run the Innovators West overdrive balancer and raise the size of the blower pulley to compensate. Doing that decreases the possibility of belt slip. Just make sure you can get a large enough pulley to get the boost where you want it.

I just bought a stock replacement balancer for my wife's 99 z-28 from Oreilly's. Its a powerbond. I think it looks just like the stock one, well except for the elastometer material is still inside where it belongs.
Did any of you guys have problems intalling your new balancer?
I borrowed the removal and intall tool from Oreilly's but it is not meant for the LS1. And it was of no use. I need to buy the right tool. Where can I get one for the LS1?
I also tried to install it the way my Chilton repair manul suggested, but the damper just wont go on far enough by hand for the stock bolt to get to the crank threads. Any help or advice would be greately appreciated. Especially since I will be removing and reinstalling the one on my vette for my impending supercharger install. ( I am going to loctite the cam bolts)

Its scarry but I have baked a few in the oven to help get them started. Have never hurt one. Its best if you find a longer bolt. I have since taken 2 bolts and cut them and welded it to make one longer! So far thats been my best friend for balancers.

I thought about trying the heat gun but was afraid to harm the elastometer. Thank you for the reply, I will try to get a longer bolt on monday.

I did exactly this today. I had the powerbond 25% underdrive pulley and replaced it with the powerbond stock replacement from Oreilly's. My brother works for them and emailed their company to find out if it would work with my V2 kit from A&A. They say their pulley exceeds stock reliability, and visually looking at it, it appears to be a nice piece, so I installed it this afternoon and pinned it down.
