Bolt pattern on fuel sender.
I bought a used fuel sender and the screw holes will not line up on my 2000 C5.Can anyone tell me if they had different patterns for different years?

Yes they do.
But, I am not sure of the time/year in the change in the tanks.
They changed the tanks to build compression limiters into the tank to keep the gaskets from splitting. You can identify these tanks as they have steel D shaped theaded inserts that protrude out of the tank, The early ones are flat.
