Default Buying a blower cam

I am going to be buying a blower cam for my car in the next couple of weeks. 2002 z06, stock cubes, stock heads, stock intake, stock tb, with arh 1 7/8" long tubes, 3" orx, ghl catback. I have talked to a few vendors on here and this is where i stand. Cant pick which cam i want though. Budget does not allow for a supercharger install first so i am going with the cam install now.

1. lgm g5xb
2. ecs blower cam
3. a&a stage 3 blower cam

all three vendors have been great to deal with. To the point i want to buy something from all of them lol. Great to have so many great vendors to deal with.

226/234 .598/.599 117

Wanna put something alittle more aggressive than what I had, yet still have a timid idle.

If I were shopping for a blower cam, I'd consult the blower guys. In this case ECS or A&A, even more so if you plan to run one of their kits.

Hands down the ECS blower cam is the most proven battle tested performer, time and time again over the last several years, on both the dyno, street, and most importantly, backed up at the track where it really counts (this is an easy one)!

I have an A&A cam which made 608whp on stock heads, intake, and block. Its a 236/244 which is probably larger than I needed, but it sounds great and drives considerably better than my MegaDeath cam I had.

Dam thats a nice cam selection so close to mine. Just a hair bigger than mine and it will make good power.

EPP can you post some numbers with a stock ls6 instead of a 402 with afr's, might apply alittle better.

We have a few different blower grinds to suit your taste. Our track record isn't too bad either-the fastest supercharged street car, fastest TTix car, and putting out the most powerful Superchaged cars out here!

The fastest Supercharged LSx Powered True Streetcar went 8.63 at 157 at the LSx Shootout. That was Doug@ECS 99 Vert. Period. Until someone else shows up, meets the requirements and beats that, it stands as fact, not opinion. Its registered, insured, has current inspection, and drives on the street. Call it what you want, but its THE fastest Supercharged LSx Powered Streetcar. It will be in a number of magazines if you'd like printed refrences.

Our Blower cam speaks for itself, having hundreds of them in blown cars across the world, including:

The Fastest Supercharged Stock Bottom End LS1 - 9.83
The Fastest Supercharged Stock LS6 - 9.80
The Fastest Supercharged Stock Cube C5 - 8.78

All with stock heads. We don't make squat on our cams, but No Other Off the shelf Blower cam is more proven.

In action:

Damn, what was I thinking? Who needs, ABS, Powersteering, Air Conditioning and Powerbrakes for a streetcar- don't even know why they come standard on a C5 Corvette.

Sorry bro.

Here's one in a stock '08 C6 with a ProCharger, it's not what you are asking for but it is a little closer.

Do "standard" corvettes run 8.6s????

Did your car come with a blower?
427 cubes?
An Automatic?

Please Arun, youre awfully far from beating Jays little 346 to be throwing stones.

The term "Streetcar" is opin opinion, no doubt, but that title isnt yours and you know it.

How about you just say "with every option and feature the car came with from the factory"? This "street car" term has gotten about as ambiguous as "long block" has.

Well no car has come with a Power Glide from the factory in how long? I would like to see the guys at ECS do what they do full weight (accessories and overdrive) IMO that is a street car. Just because it's licensed and insured doesn't make it a real street car. As for a cam so many choices I would go with one that is proven.

Arun has tested many cams from conventional "blower" grinds to cams that experts said would not work! I would go with what he suggests, his knowledge with superchargers is unparalleled!
