Default New build

I scorched my rings and pistons with my old setup. So I have 83# injectors now and I'll add a secondary pump to the LPE in tank pump and see where that goes.

Pistons were replaced with Wiseco 25cc dishes for 8.5:1 CR 3.905". Crank was turned and I decided to stay with the stock crank since I'm going to be less than 1000HP. Forged I beam rods were fine. Cam was good but older grind so went with a Comp Cams HR 230/234 right at 600 lift and LSA of 115. I was going to grind one on a 118 but it's still a stock bore and stroke 346 and stealth was not on my list. Should turn on the motor a little quicker at 115. I went to Caddy lifters and kept the stock rockers since 7k would be my rev limit. The valves are hollow stem on the intake side and sodium filled exhaust.

I kept the same worked 243 heads. I started to go All Pro but that was a lot of money for 50HP and I should be nearer to the 900 RWHP ceiling I set for the build even without the better heads.

In anticipation of more power, the 60E was sent to Rossler and was maxed out. It's good to 1100hp flywheel now.

I do need help with the fuel pump. It has an in tank LPE pump with no boost a pump. I will be adding a secondary pump likely an accessory inline pump. Anyone got any recommendations. I was thinking about a MSD, Aeromotive, or Mallory high pressure pump plumbed to the fuel regulator.

Block is a stock with a couple small mods.

Anyone have any suggestion?

If you havent installed the lifters yet go over them and check for cracks, I along with about 4-5 people I know personally have had the caddy lifters fail. I had heard at one point it was a manufactoring error, but I dont know for sure what the cause was and of course I heard of this after they failed. lol. When they failed the sleeve portion around the roller would break.
