Default weird boost gauge reading

I'm sitting in my car right now at idle and I'm registering 15lbs boost which I'm pretty sure in inaccurate. I have the autometer cobalt analog guage. I have been getting weird readings from it sense I returned from iraq, not sure what the deal is a couple time out the day while driving it will read correct. What can I look at as possible culprit? Car pretty much sat entire year except on couple occasions. Is the guage its self faulty or what u think? Also the afr readings really haven't been off the chart. Thanks !

since the problem is showing up in two gauges and that the car has been sitting. I would suspect a wiring issue, start by checking your grounds. Maybe you got some corrosion while sitting up.

Does that gauge use an elec sender or is it mech(ie vac line runs all the way to the gauge)

Put a mechanical gauge VAC/BOOST on the line coming in the Vette and see what reading you get!

It sounds like moisture or something within the gauge is faulting - might need to send it to autometer for repair!

Thanks,Matt

If its mechanical (analog?) then pull the gauge out of the pod and disconnect the vacuum hose and see if it is blowing or sucking. If it reads 15lbs of boost and its sucking (vacuum) something is definitely wrong!! Or just disconnect it from the vacuum source altogether whether its mechanical or electrical and see what it reads.
