No sealant on AN fittings and I use teflon tape on NPT fittings.
Many people say dont use tape, but after being taught the correct way to wrap it by my brother who uses it in the gas pipeline business, its much better and less messy than the paste, IMO.

What exactly is your problem?
well, my schrader valve extention thingy that my fuel pressure sending unit hooks up to, there is an NPT port that wont stay sealed... I have 2 1/8 NPT ports 1 for my sending unit and the other is capped off.. the one thats capped off is not sealing....
it will prob never seal with that kind of fitting, just not enuff threads to seal. i would suggest double male fitting be inserted there with a proper female cap fitting. or better yet a fitting with correct number of holes if you can find one.

Maybe try some red loctite if you dont ever need to use that port again, the aluminum allen will most likely strip if you try to take it out with the loctite on there.

ill give it a try, i dont need that port anyways... ill give it a shot and report back
It's hard to tell by the pic that you posted what part you are talking about. One thing for sure.If you tried to seal it with thread sealant and that didn't work then there is a problem with the thread or type of plug you are using. It's not the type of sealant you are using and even if you do get it to seal with some other kind of sealant I wouldn't trust it.Especially when you are working with gas under pressure!Take it to a hydraulic shop and show the guy what you are doing. If they know their stuff they should be able to fix you up with the proper fitting.
Good luck.
