Default self contained vent

Anyone extend their self-contained SC vent to keep oil mist out of the engine bay?
I was thinking of plumbing a line down under the car if it becomes a problem.

What vent? You found one on a self contained SC?
Centrifugal?

It only spews oil when overfilled. I ran into that issue for a while after the first oil change. You can't get all 4 oz out. I put 4 oz in. Stay after it for a while and the problem will go away.

you're kidding right?
The brass fitting on the top is the "vent".
This should get a little mist built-up on it.
I thought about plumbing a "vent" line down under the motor.
I'm kind of ****.

Nope, no brass fitting still can't find any vent and I've been looking for one since 2001.
In fact if you pull the dipstick when it's hot you can hear the hissing of the released pressure.
Mine is a Procharger P1, what is yours?

:o I got a cheap little vortech
Self contained so it has a vent on top that some say will mist oil. I thought of running a line down under the car if it becomes a problem. I guess the prochargers are probably different. I think they are a better head unit aren't they?

Well guess that explains why you have a vent, I won't touch which one is better....LOL
Actually any kind of extension on your vent will help, the best would be up and not down in direction.
Maybe running it rearwards towards the firewall would help......
I'd really like to put a vent in my gear case, just in case any Procharger people are reading. Any type of gear case will benefit from a vent, take it from a retired transmission design Engineer.....
