Default custom air intake

Anyone do a custom air intake for their supercharger system. I was looking and it seems like it would be possible to run some plumbing across the top of the intercooler and down through the driver side side plate and mount the air filter in the driver front fender where the smog pump "used to be".
Would it be worth the extra "360 degrees" of bends for cooler air vs the warmer air being sucked by the condenser and rad

Anyone got any input??

I have the ECS Novi kit and have wondered about doing a system like the VaraRam, but with only one side. Run a duct from the fog light area right up to the supercharger inlet. Probably is more trouble than it is worth on a FI car. The SC is going to heat the air up anyway and you can run meth to cool it back down.

I'm thinking if the air starts cooler, it should still help keep the iat's down. I'm just no sure if the extra bending, and extended path the air must travel, will negate the benefits of cooler air. It look like it can be done with three 90's, and two 45's.

The air filter is already in front of everything and when the car is moving, I expect to be getting air as cold as can be expected from any pickup point. Also, if you ever get caught in the rain or a deep puddle, you might find yourself wishing your filter were higher.

Hadn't thought about the rain issue:o (my car doesn't see rain), but thinking air from the front sreen would provide cooler air. Maybe your right with the car moving iat's even with the under the hood heat will stay pretty low. Dont think it would be any worse than the front air scoop they sell to replace the front lic plate cover
