I had two vettes with F/I procharger and a paxton in the past and i know that will b the easiest way to make my z fast again but I think that I will b looking at 8 k atleast
I was thinking I could just build the ls6 and spray a 200 shot on it and make the car fast
I have a lot of friends that will give me a hand doing the work
what all will it take to build the ls6 to withstand a big shot of Nitrous ????
could i pull this off considering we are doing the labor cheaper than getting a blower and making the Z b as fast as a Blower car ???
who do i need to talk to to get the parts and cam that will b needed for this build
im thinking a good nitrous cam the Ls6 should make around 415 rwhp + a 200 to 225 shot should make the car quick
If you keep it around 150 you can do it on the stock motor. Do heads, cam and intake. That should put you around 450 + 150 shot. This is probably your least expensive option.
If you want to build it on a budget just buy forged rods and pistons. The stock crank will be fine for along time. Personally if I were building a engine I would go bigger. Do some price checking on 383's or 408's.
I have done nitrous and a blower and in the long run I don't think nitrous is any cheaper. Especially when you add in heads, cam, etc. Also, with a 200 shot you are not going to get many passes per bottle.
you are going to need a clutch either way and maybe some rear end mods, so you can't count that.
after having a FI car, I don't think you will be happy with nitrous. If you decide to get another blower, I will help you install it.
