If you have are looking at going more than stock bottom end or have more than that in the car now. Just get the 8 rib and just be done with it or get the flip drive one. Just my 2 cents

Take Mike up on his offer, you will not buy from any better on the forum here. Plus will be glad you did when you get it on the car.

A stock bottom end is fine with a 6 rib. Its cheaper to go to an 8 rib drive when the engine is out to be forged.

If you are going to be running the 3.6" supercharger pulley (even a 3.4), the 6-rib will be fine. Going closer to a 3", you want to go 8-rib.

My understanding about 6 rib good up to approx 10 psi is consistent with what you say. You did not mention anything about upgrading the fuel system. May depend on the engine and supercharger, but with an LS7 and Vortech T-Trim, getting much above 7 psi requires a fuel system upgrade.

If you get the flip drive, make sure you get their most recent upgraded one.

seems the old ones were sensitive to the amount of tension on the belts. Just replaced my with the upgraded version. So far so good.

Ive been on a 6 rib for years. When I go forged, I'll upgrade to the 8 rib. Until then, no. I havent proven a need for it in over 600 passes with my ECS novi...

I snapped the 6 rib belt my last two trips to the dragstrip. I would have done the 8 rib from the get go but heard that 6 is fine on stock motor. I'd say 700whp is the limit for a 6 rib. I now have an 8 rib kit but no belt! I've been tempted to have it installed but for the money I'd rather save it for the forged motor. Although I would like to find the limit of the stock LS6 with the 8 rib.

It is just an 8 rib belt and pulleys but..... I wouldn't say it just bolts up. Power steering pump is pressed on and can be 'fun' to change. Worse is the crank, requires dropping or moving the PS cradle from what I understand to get to the bolt to back it out and change. Ask your shop about any extra installation costs just in case

Good luck!

It will involve different spacers and hardware on our bracket (which are included if you purchase our 8-rib setup). The 8-rib balancer will be an 8" (10% OD) Innovators.
