I was just wondering when you go to 60lb injectors on a blower kit and stay in the 600-650 whp range, do you need a BAP or can the factory fuel system handle the larger injectors by itself.

i would get the BAP as insurance.

60lb injectors can spray alot of fuel, but you need the fuel there to begin w/

I have 60lber's, Walboro 255, & a BAP. My fuel pressure has been holding 54-58 psi @ WOT. This is still on the stock fuel rails.

Hopefully this weekend or week I can get teh car dynoed and see what for power I am really making. Seems like once you go over 600rwhp the stock fuel system just has a hard time keeping up.

Thanks it is an 03 Z06 so I don't think the additional or better pump is an option right now unless I drop the tank and use the 06 pump.

I'm running an A&A FMIC set-up on my '04 Z06. Using the Pro Charger P1SC head unit and making 10 lb. boost. I use 42 lb. injectors and a Kenne Bell BAP with stock fuel system (still have stock exhaust manifolds also). She puts down 617 RWHP as tuned by Mike & Geoff at Next Level Performance in Florida.

I feel the stock fuel pump won't keep up with the demand for fuel at high RPM so I suggest the BAP. As you noted, a different in-tank fuel pump requires dropping the tank (and rear suspension) to change out the pump.

Later ... Larry S.

In that range and 60lb injectors you will need a Racetronix harness and pump and a return fuel system to keep up.

tuners will tell you that every car is different too
one might be able to make 700 and the other only 650 on the same fuel system

I'll tell you every car is different... My BAP, Racetronix harness, Walbro pump and 60lb injectors were barely good for 500 rwhp. Others have made 700 with similar fuel setups.

What pump comes with the Racetronix? I thought it was the Walbro? I bought the Racetronix kit from Texas Speed with the harness and the pump.

Should have been the exact one that comes with the kit. Racetronix's website now says "Walbro (LPE) GRJ420 jet-pump" I swear I remember it being a 255 though....

Walbro gearotor pumps flow apx. 255LPH @ 43.5PSI @ 13.5V. Since the C5/C6 operate at 58PSI that rating is apx. 220LPH. We have never advertised the C5 pump at 255LPH.
