OK guys looking at a STS setup how hard is it to install or any ideas on cost to install Also how does this stack up say to an A&A setup.in terms of horsepower, drivability and reliability. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks Don
If you're patient and don't mind waiting on your boost then you might be ok with the STS. I have tuned and driven a 402 STS with upgraded turbos and it was incredibly laggy. I honestly don't see how you can drag race, roll race or anything with this kit unless you have an automatic with a big stall or a big shot of nitrous to wake up those turbos. The guy with the STS is Jmoody66 and after riding in my car, he decided to make the change to the A&A system. We hope to be done with it in May.
I'm a turbo guy but the A&A kit is so well worked out it's hard not to go that way.Power is instant and the install is not real hard as long as you have been working on cars for a while.Plus I hear the backup with Andy is the best in the industry and it's worth buying just for that reason. You'll need less convertor so the car is more driveable and no issues with getting the oil back to the motor. On top of that some shops are offering killer deals on the A&A kit installed. You can't lose. How much power you get is not an issue as like anything else you just add more money. There are a lot of 9 second SC vettes out there now.
Good luck.
Customer service is the best at A&A and they continue to refine
their kits, so they are better. The intercooler alone would be
enough to convince a average person to buy a A&A supercharger.
Call A&A and talk to them!!!!!
Good luck.
