Default procharger questions

im looking for 550-600whp for now but only until i get a built motor in. is a F1A too much to run this low for now even tho i will crank it up in the future or will this be fine for now? why do people have trouble when they go up to 10-12psi with belts and what not? are the people running 20psi on cog setups or what?

For the HP level you want a PS1C or DS1C is what you need, if you get a F1A you will not be spinning it to get those levels you want. I run 20# with the latest A&A Bracket and his orginal IC and this is with a DS1C

im runnind a P1 on the new A@A bracket it works awesome with a 6 rib belt 3.50 pulley makes 8-10 psi on my 402 would make about 14 psi on a 347! its maxed out on boost! so im going with a D1 this weekend im hoping to get 14 psi. (my polished P1 is for sale) 10 psi is about the max boost you want on a stock piston! i hope this helps

so running an f1a would not be recommended even at 6-8 psi? i would rather run a bigger blower at lower boost and get the same results as a smaller blower at higher boost anyways and i know the f1a will get me at least 550whp on low boost. when i go built i will be getting a ls3 418 and shooting for 700-800whp on pump and bumping it up for race gas. will the p1sc1 get me the results i want? basically i want something has a lot of room to grow and ive seen the f1a go 1100whp on ls3 motors and would like to have that but thats in the future.

I don't see a problem with going big early, thats what i did. If your going to put in a forged motor anyways, then you might as well. If your only looking for 800s, there have been plenty of people hit that with a D1.

F1A run it with a big low boost pulley!! but a P1 is too small to grow into! d1 will work up to 800rwhp!

I'd say start with a P1, thats what I have and I made 705 rwhp. on a 3.85 pulley. Then when you get bored with that move on up! Good Luck!

Im not sure how the F1A compares to the F1C, but for my stock shortblock i had to use a 5"pulley and it still made 700whp. So i had to use a restrictor plate to bring it down more. I have never heard of a D1 hitting 1000whp. It's still going to be a lot of work for the F1 to hit that but doable.

the f1a is a little smaller and flows 200cfm less than the f1c and is rated at 1100 and the f1c is rated at 1225. haha thats awesome you had to use a restrictor plate and a 5" pulley and STILL made 700whp! how much boost was that 5" pulley making? i think the f1a will put me right around 550-600 whp on low boost (i.e ~7psi) which is perfect for me for now until i get a built motor in.

It made 700 with the pulley. The restrictor plate brought it down to 613. At 700 it was 11-12lbs, at 613 it was right at 6lbs.

it sounds like bigger blowers make more hp at the same boost am i right or is boost just boost? would a P1 with 10psi be the same hp as a D1 with 10psi?

Might have to see if you can get a crank pulley modified to run that F1

Default Trouble figuring out how to reach an FO owner

How do I contact a member to discuss his Procharger set up?? His ID seems to be "cdnws6" as listed in the FI Owners Club organized by Sticky.
Thanks, Ed
