Default Need Help w/ "Quality" Nitrous Setup

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking into a nitrous kit (wet) for my '01 Coupe ( See profile for current bolt on list ) and need some help selecting a quality kit. Also looking for a highly recommended shop near Houston to do the tune.

Any recommended kits??

What parts will I need (fuel pump, injectors, plug change..etc)

Any help or suggestions would be great!

My goal is to run solid 10.50's with a safe tune on spray as I'm now running high 11's NA.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond!

You cant go wrong with Nitrous Outlet or HSW...

In Houston I believe Jason (cajundude) at England Green can handle your tune, and I think deals with Nitrous Outlet parts as well.

Edit...

I see you decided Wet (thats half the battle!). The plate kits seem to be cleaner in install than the ol wet nozzle in the duct. The HSW and Nitrous Outlet the flow patterns are diffent as well the pluming configuration are different (so pick which you prefer).

LOL pick me up in the Clay Road area and lets go visit Jason tomorrow afternoon I am in town for a day or two...

+1

Cant go wrong with HSW or Nitrous Outlet plate kits. I opted for the HSW 78mm plate because it was cheaper and i digged the 360* spray pattern.

Looking at the banners down the left hand side I see over 5 really good Nitrous Outlet Dealers. I would suggest contacting one of them for the C5 corvette specific plate system and related accessories. It will not only support the power levels you need now but as your demand more in the future as well. It offers in my opinion the cleanest looking install available. The system is pre assembled from the manufacture and is truely a bolt on system. It also ships pre hardlined.

There is a dealer listing page on the Nitrous Outlet website.

Looking at your mod list you are more than likely already pushing the stock fuel system. I would put a racetronix fuel system on the car and then you will be good for about 650 rear wheel hp.

The stock bottom end will safely support a 150 shot. You will need BR7EF spark plugs.

Along with the normal accessries needed to make the system function safely and properly you may want to look at something like the lingenfelter to pull timing so that you can run max N/A timing and then retard the timing when the nitrous systems arms.

Thank you for the help Dave... What other "normal accessories" would be needed?

I would prefer a system that would allow me to run normal timing N/A ( which is 95% ) of the time and pull timing once the nitrous system is turned on.

What do you suggest?

What do you suggest?
heater/nano, fuel pressure safety switch, purge, blow down tube (gotta keep it legal), & pressure gauge. as far a pulling timing i would use the timing tuner, lingenfleter 003, or efi live cos.

We typically run Nitrous Outlet kits on our cars, and customer cars. They are really on the ball with Nitrous kits and accessories. They're a great company to deal with as well.

Give us a call here if you would like to order up one of their kits. We offer FREE ground shipping on top of competitive pricing. Either way, good luck w/ your build!

Thanks,
Bryan

Thank you for all of the help and input!!

Looks like I will be going with the HSW complete kit with "All out access package" this time around.

I still have questions on what timing unit to use????

Does anyone have any tips/tricks or suggestions on the install?

Any recommended shops for the final tune here in Houston?

Thats what i did and it works great! All of it shipped to me was $990. I would run Lingenfelters timing box that just plugs in line with the coils. I have HPTuners so i just take 5* out of my NA tune from 3,000rpm and up when im at the track. Not sure on where to get the tune, but i know there big on lsx's in your state. (Im in Ga) Theres a pic below of what i did on my install. Wanted a clean and budget friendly setup. Shoot me a PM if you need to ask any questions on wiring up the MicroEdge, its a little different from the HSW instructions, but still easy to do. Good luck and keep us posted on the times!
