So, can anyone guess what happens when some IDIOT leaves a Scotchbrite pad in your oil pan?
That's right folks. It breaks into pieces and clogs up the oil pickup tube and you wonder why you have zero oil pressure. Kinda strange how people can forget the little things like that.
On a side note....my meth pump failed.
So far it looks like I just need to replace all the bearings in the block.

On a side note, my meth pump failed last week also but have already replaced it. For anyone who has the AlkyControl pump mounted in the drivers side fender, you NEED to get the rubber sock that covers it or it WILL fail.

? from water?
is Julio giving the socks out to everyone? Havent used my pump in 6 months or so... guess i should test it.
I am on my second pump and the second was installed by Julio himself. Running strong since he installed it over a year ago.. I do all the test b4 taking off to make sure it is working..
Sorry to hear about your motor!!! We assume since you are not sharing who did this they are helping you recover your loss... Which would be the right thing.

I can't be sure who the idiot is, so rather than make an accusation I'm keeping it to myself. I'm a contractor in Afghanistan and at various times had to have work done. If there was only one shop that worked on my car I would say. All in all this isn't an expensive fix considering that I'm tearing apart my motor now to put some lower compression pistons in it anyways. So, I'm paying out of pocket.

Yes, from water. My IAT's werent responding like they should have so Taylor pulled the pump off and removed the bolt that basically goes through the body of the pump. It was FULL of corrosion. He just started shipping pumps with the socks in January. I dont think he is "giving" them out. Water damage is not something covered under warranty, from what I was told.

My pump light would come on during tests, but it was still not flowing like it should have been. Hopefully your new pump has a sock on it.
