Wouldnt something like this be beneficial to a belt driven head unit? Just thinking if the head unit could "free wheel" in between shifts, wouldn't this create less boost loss in between shifts and reduce "shift" belt slipping?
It might cause more problems like compressor surge when you close the throttle during a shift.
Although it might be worth a try, it shouldn't be to difficult to cobble up a pulley with a one way clutch in it.
