Glad to see that you got it back together. The service manuals are great for stock cars, however when you have a heavily modified car like yours, they are not too much help.
I'm happy that you still have two sons to spent time with, and very sorry for the loss of other son.
That's gotta be a great feeling to be almost complete with your new motor. Very difficult reading through your hard times man. My heart goes out to you.
Hi,
Wow does this **** ever stop!!!
This time it was low oil pressure with lots of air.I took off the turbo oil feed and it was spitting air/oil mix.it showed 30lbs hot and took awhile to get there.the usual read the forum and set on the pump o-ring.got the meling 295 .talk gerald into a trade for MT DR's .firedit up ad 45# insintly .the blue o ring was undamaged ?
With a caliper comparison to the black one it was .004 thiner.
No telling this car is full of surprises .
Tune and meth at 12 lbs to come.
Mike
On iPhone ,
So bare with me. Oil pump seal was intact so I beleave the pump was reasembled wrong.Meling 295 and black o ring did 45lbs in 15 sec. Thanks Geral (myothervett)and my boys, all of them really did most of it. been a rough year.
Myothervet And I are in Sarasota fl for tuneing.we spent two days with Tracy Lewis repairing/ moding his novi 2000.looks like fishing for day then down to Matt Kasanie's new shop.turns out his mechanic lives across the street from my parents.hope this time is it for a while.
Tracy Lewis has really done more than he has to. This guy knows his s**t.both of use will use his catch can,now I get it.the pics do not show the internals. I have two other that can't do what his can do.He should be back up in a few months.
Iwill put up the dyno results latter this week.
Again thanks to all of you hanging in and just being supportive .I still think of our son all the time and wish he could have had a chance to drive it,he was a little afraid of it.

Hi Mike, I spoke with you on the phone during your drive down there. You rode there with Jerel aka FSUForever. Not Myothervette. Good luck with your results.
Wow,
This not going well.been here for 5 days now.some how we picked up a miss.Hpt balance went good.they are changing plugs while I sit in the eye surgeons office hoping the eye won't fall out.I have faith in Matt,s tune skills.
Can't wait to be home in Mobile Al.
Mike
Started the tune tonight
588tq @ 4000 rpm w/9lb boost maf
2 bar sd with meth in morning
Matt Kesatiemotorsports is the tuner and I am very impressed with ability .my last tune was full of errors that pointed out. Worth the effort so far
Mike
Got it on the road again over the week end!!
Lc-1 isn't working and the clutch doesn't disengage right, slips too.
But WOW this thing hauls ***.
I did but a new battery in and a set of toyo Ra1's335/30/18 under it yesterday.
Yes they seem to fit on 10.5's and not rub.they look surprisedliy good.
Tune is real close , just a minor idle surg and a hicKup around 2500rpm.I think it is the cross over from Mac to speed density ?
Waiting on anew lc-1 and they the Dyno to set the meth.
This has been worth it but I have to say a bit Harry driving it!!
Thanks to all .I'll put up numbers later . What ever they are doesn't matter .it's more than I planed anyway.
Mike
Your tires will probably wear out in the middle because the rims are too narrow. You can compensate a bit by lowering the air pressure, but you really need a 12" wide rim.
I tried the 12" wheel with some Hoosier a6 tires and needed to space them .I got these new for 325 shipped so if they last six months I'll be happy.these sit just fine and leave a nice flat mark in the road.the ovals just spun at least these grab.
No back in Mobile,
Did talk to mom today they live there. Thanks for the offer anyway .gotta love the forum.
Mike was really the driving force for all the mods and really the whole build up of this car.his brother stepped up a bit but just not the same.
It is coming up to the one year mark and the student loan folks remind me daily. This loss was my second son that died and is the hardest.Seems like I got a second wind and I will keep this car and his 94 formula(FOOTES)the plate is his nick name. I have been driving it a bit. Know I see why he loved it so much,it's a hoot to drive with a stick.
If you need anything just let me know
Now I just need to get the Dyno up and learn Hpt!!
