Default E-Force for the LS1?

I've seen a lot of info about the E-Force super chargers lately, I was wondering if anyone knows much about them?

I saw where they were supposed to be coming out for the LS2 vette's in July of this year ( 2010) well this made me think. there isn't much difference in the LS1/LS2 in anything other than the injector plugs on the top end ( where the super charger would be. Atleast none that's showing up to me right now.

would one retrofit to an LS1?

would it even be worth doing?

I have a friend who has a 08 racecraft/saleen mustang and that car is quite wicked down low. from a roll it jumps 2 cars on me and holds that distance ( doesn't gain any more.

I have also been looking hard at the A&A kits.

I believe they sit too high in the engine bay and require to either lower the cradle or a different hood!

I opted for the Centri blower myself and love the power it makes, these certainly are cool and would like to see someone fit it on the C5.

You also can call Eforce and get the details straight fro them.

Thanks,matt

As far as fitting the engine goes, if it fits the LS2, no reason I can think of that it won't fit the LS1. Changing injector pigtails is ridiculously easy. I had a Maggie once and instant boost is fun.

I have ordered the LS3 e-force kit for my 2010 Camaro. If I'm satisfied with the result, I may get an LS1 kit for my C5 vette if that one is released.

I'll be helping a buddy install his into a C6 and while I'm at it I may just take a moment and pull my intake and sit that unit in there see what clearance is like on a C5. Unless someone has actually tried this already, we'll know then.

That would be awesome!

clearance, and seeing what the performance is like on an LS2 ( it's a lot more like an LS1 than an LS3 )

I'm waiting for the ls1 kit also, I have a ls1 going in a 1968 catalina, so room around the motor is not a issue.

wow, a 68 Catalina... I had one of them many years ago. Maroon ragtop - 428, 4 speed, leather interior, power windows, previous owner installed an 8-track... what a car... good luck with your conversion.

Would that buddy be a certain red C6?

It seems that it sits even or just a bit higher than the stock intake manifold. Here are the pics of the system on the LS3:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...r-ls2-now.html

I personally love to try to make things work, but have learned over time that if it is not designed for that car, dont do it. It will cost you so much more in the end to make it work.

I do like the A&A kits as well, they seem to fit just right and make good power for the streets... IMHO.
