A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges
I am thinking about ordering an a-pillar gauge pod, but I have a few questions.
Is the Autometer the best guage pod (part no 12192)? Where is the best place to order one and what would be a good price? Does it match the original color exactly and fit snug?
What gauges are the most important to have? Where can I order them?
As always, pics are appreciated!

call Shawn at LAPD. for the white faced boost and fuel gauge I paid $160 and got them the next day. You will also need to order a part from earl part #923104 and 991001 this will assist in the istall of the fuel gauge. I ordered these parts through summit. hope I was some help good luck  the dual gauge piller was 89.99 from breathless try shawn first, :D

Last I heard the gauge pods are all made by the same company so it really doesn't matter who you buy it from as far as quality. I think Jeg's and Summit both sell them for around $50 but they are almost always on backorder. There are a few vendors that get a handful from time to time but they cost a little more and they always sell out quick

I got mine from Vettewrench. Awesome service and they had it in stock. Was around $70 shipped or so.

Re: A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges (VetterMan)
Summit has them for 49.95. that's where i got mine. fits perfect, matches interior perfect. if you're running nitrous you'll want a full sweep fuel pressure gauge (Martelbros.com, ~$190 for the "ultra-lite" series full sweep electronic Fuel Pressure Autometer gauge) and you'll want a recalibrated A/F gauge from gadgetseller.com, $90 to sweep from 780mv to 1000mv across 14 LEDS. be sure to properly ground the A/F gauge to the engine, NOT battery ground. i connected mine at the alternator housing. i couldnt get it to work right grounded anywhere else.

Re: A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges (shftn6)
shftn6, that setup looks sweet. :yesnod: Are those gauges the one rwj383 mentions in his post? What is the difference between the nitrous pressure gauge in you pic and the one that comes with the genx2 kit? Would the gauge from the genx2 kit fit in the pillar gauge pod?

$49.95 is a good price! :yesnod: Thanks rwj383.
I called Summit, and they confirmed this is the full pillar and can hold 2 of the 2 1/16 gauges.

Should be the same thing he is talking about. The genx2 gauge won't fit in the pillar. I put mine in the trunk.

Re: A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges (rwj383)
rwj383,
Could you explain the benefits of the full sweep fuel pressure gauge and the a/f gauge? I will not run more than a 100 shot (probably 75 shot at most), so are these necessary?
Thanks!

Re: A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges (RajunCajun2001)
I just ordered the following:
Carbon Series Ultra-Lite
ATM-4775 Air:Fuel Gauge (Electric)
ATM-4701 Boost Gauge (Mechanical)
ATM-4763 Fuel Pressure (Electric)
ATM-12192 Dual Pillar Pod
I will put the boost and fuel pressure in the dual pillar pod and the air:fuel in the ash tray. I heard that Autometer has stopped production on the dual pillar pod because of reported fitment problems. In fact, I checked on Summit and Jeg's web sites and they say that this part is no longer offered by the manufacturer. I guess I got my order in on one of the last few shipped to the wholesalers.
Does anyone know of a company that makes a cup or a faceplate for the ashtray or a pod for the cup holder?
Initially, I wanted to order the Cobalt Series, but Autometer is not releasing them until late April / early May.

Re: A Pillar Guage Pod and gauges
I have air/fuel guage and fuel pressure gauge in the dual gauge pod. And nitrous pressure gauge right next to the seat. :D
