I've got a question for anybody running a B&M trans cooler with fan. Mine does not seem to come on even when the trans hit 190. The thermostat for the cooler is not kicking on the fan. Have any of you guys got your fan wired around the thermostat so it runs all the time? I saw a response from RPM Transmissions a few days ago saying they just wire them to run all the time. I'm just wondering how long the fan motor will last. Anyone?? Thank, Rod
Thanks Tracy! Your help when I installed it really saved me some headaches. I guess I will jump past the thermostat and put a switch under the dash. I'll leave the thermostat hooked up as well, - in case I forget to hit the switch. I Don't think two hot wires to the fan will do any harm. My trans temps are about 30 degrees cooler after the install so I'm happy with the results even without the fan running. I'm still going through the radiator so the cooler has to work a little harder. Thanks again, and enjoy that southern weather!! Rod

Had the same problem. Called the manufacturer and they sent two new thermostats (diff temps) to try and that fixed it.
I live out in AZ and I have learned my lesson in letting a thermostat regulate any type of temp on the fans. I have my engine fans and tranny fans both hooked up to a toggle. I flip after the engine warms up and the tranny never sees anything above 149* and the engine stays at 190 even on 105* ambient temp that puts the street temp easily around 200*. I am also running their 11X11X1 1/2 cooler. I have the tranny cooler set up to blow through not pulling air so it helps the engines fans move air.

I don't have pics sorry, didn't think it would be something any one wanted to look at. I'd have to tear down my covers and intake to take pics. Maybe when I put in my new radiator at the end of the month, Ill take pics and see if i remember this thread
