Default Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger

This one goes on the C6. Why the hell can't anyone make something like this for the C5?

If they do, sign me up. The kit has about 1/3 the parts to install. No hood mod...application specific programmer....!!!

A forged LS3 will fit in your car.

I'd have a hard time justifying buying a new engine just so I could supercharge it to the Mrs. I'd have better luck talking her into getting the C6...and i'm not quite ready to go back into debt...yet

this is cool, but still just a 2300, there is a few on the market comprable.

Also if you are going to S/C a forged motor would let you go a lot further, 6lbs pounds of boost is cool, but once you get 6 you will want 10 - 12 +++ then you will need a forged motor anyway

Woah! Hold on there...I'm not trying to power a small city...I just want something to make the C5 a little funner than it already is, and will look under the hood like the ZR1 unit does.

I'd never even dream of going to more than the stock boost levels....I promise

well I will tell you I had a 300HP camaro, always wanted a c4 Zr1, test drove some, then drove a 500+RWHP S/C C5 and was hooked.

Now a year or two later wanting more, so if you are going to build, build big if you can.

Check with user C_Williams@RPM at RPM Motors. He's in the process of working through the installation details...

[Quote] I am doing one very soon on a C5 - I’ve mocked up the pieces and it’s straight forward, only minor fabrication. The hood has to be changed – but only by the slightest. A small rise 3/4”, like the RK SPORT, will more than clear (it only comes close at the very front, near the radiator “crown”.If you are local I can call you when it’s done.

Thanks,

I have installed this kit on an 06 mustang, and I can say from experience that it is the most complete kit with the best instructions I've ever seen. my girlfriend could install it. expensive, but worth the money. They even send you a programmer in the complete kit to do your own tune.

If I remember correctly the vette kits are $7500. that's a chunk of change, IMO.

Not really, when you consider an installed Magnuson will run you about $7000 before tuning and then you have to purchase and paint a hood, adding another $2000 to the price tag.

I will admit that to get it to work with an LS1/6 will cost $9000+ (heads + SC), but for that price, you get something that few other C5 owners have...

Power for dollar value is dimished, if that is the only thing that counts for you.

What is the price of exclusivity or uniqueness? Only you can decide that.

for near $10k when all is said and done, I'll just get a turbo kit and call it a day. or piece together a rear mount kit for waaay less.
