Default anyway to test a MSD 6 BTM to make sure its really pulling timing?

Just curious.

MSD product quality lately has left a lot to be desired.

I dont think the boost referenced timing retard would show up in datalogs...

If your talking about MSD part # 8625, if your using to pull timing it will show up in the logs.

Best way to test is with a MITYVAC. Unplug the vacuum line from the MAP sensor attachemnt and hook up the Mityvac. Then set the Mityvac to pressure and pump in some boost with the car idling-you should be able to see the timing start to retard in the scanner.

No for sure that one will not pull timing out of the car. Need to spend a few more hundred.
