Default How much squat?

I just got my used CCW Drag Pack.I got a monster deal on these wheels, but the offset is wrong at 6 9/16" back spacing on a 10.5" wheel. This causes the wheels to stick out a little at the top of the wheel well.I have about 1 1/2" of clearance from the tire to the body. The tires are 10 x 28 Hoosier slicks and I have a 3400 stall convertor.I expect the car is going to leave hard.I have 2002 Z06 shocks on the back.Does anyone know how much these cars squat and whether I'm going to hit the body or not?
Thanks.

Meathead speculation. You're going to make contact with the wheel wells. You need some adjustable coilovers or a smaller tire.

I don't have a lot of experience with Hoosiers but I believe they are "low pressure" tires. If that is true they'll also get smaller a launch due to the wrinkle (they'll got back to normal, or get larger, but that will be after the pressure is off the rear end). I think you may be alright.

I need an education..... Tell me more about these "low pressure" tires.

I am not aware of anyone...even with the proper offset rims not rubbing with 28's. To the OP I would consider changing them to 26". You don't need a 28 unless you run out of gear with the 28's and that's not going to happen.

Just put the 28" Hoosiers on mine last week.Removed the inner fenderwell plastic, added one turn(exactly) preload to my rear spring.I was thinking same as you, looks VERY close ! I am happy to report on my car at least, after multiple hard(high 9/low 10) sec passes NO contact ! You better be sure you have enough motor to turn these babies ! I had to bump the 2step up 300RPM to get it off the line without a bog(6speed turbo car) I did notice that they were alot more forgiving on my car, rather if I broke the 26s lose,it was all over, the 28s take more to break loose and recover faster. I have some pics/video but the are not close up,pm me if you want me to send you a link.

My tires aren't close. The tread actually sticks out past the wheel well by 1".Nobody knows what these wheels were made for.Even the pres of CCW had no idea. The offset is 6 1/2" and should be 7 1/2" or 8.I might have to narrow them down for skinnies.PM 2 U

I would raise the ride height up so there is 2 1/2" clearance, then apply something like 3/4" foam weatherstriping below the fender. Made a couple passes and see if the tire touched the foam. Raise or lower ride height based on results.
