Methanol storage
For those using 100% methanol, where do you store it? I'm looking to get a 5 gal container soon, and what to be sure I store it safely.
Thanks

X2. My garage is insulated and heated, never gets below 55-60* in the CO winters. I will have it up to around around 70 when I'm working out there.

I know race fuel can loose it's strength if stored for a long period of time in those plastic containers compared to a steel drum.I don't know if Meth is the same.On a side note you should purge you system with distilled water if your storing your car for any length of time.

I get my methanol in plastic gallon jugs, locally. I purchase 5 at a time, and store them in my garage. 5 gallons lasts me about three months, and as long as the jugs are tightly closed, I do not loose any. the only time I loose methanol, is when someone accidently pokes something in the side of the plastic jugs and they leak...
