I currently have a Procharger P1sc setup on my 98 Vette and have been having problems with the boost. The blower has a 3.75 6 rib pulley on it. When I go full throttle the boost jumps to about 4lbs and then trails off to about 3lbs. I have checked all of my hose connections, I have swapped out my FAST intake to eliminate that. Procharger says the setup should make about 9 lbs of boost and he swore it was belt slip. I have also replaced the blow off valve to eliminate that, so I am down to either belt slip or a bad blower.
I have noticed that the Procharger makes a funny squealing noise(not the normal whining sound) when its cold and when I put some pressure on the unit (releaving pressure on the pulley) the noise goes away. Is there a way to know if my P1 is bad and is it possible that it is losing this much boost?
What steps would you take next to determine if its the unit or belt slip?

Albeit messy, I sprayed the belt with 'dressing' (I used 3m super 77 adhesive) and took my car out for a spin. I immediately picked up around 2 lbs of boost, and some annoying belt squeak However this verified to me the belt was slipping and enabled me to attack that specific problem. My boost with the slip used to rise to around 8lbs and level off, maybe drop a bit. Now (flip drive) it steadily increases to 13.5 lbs and blows off the tires in 1st and 2nd gear
